Conveyancing
I was admitted as a solicitor in 1985 and have over 33 years experience of property matters. Prior to joining Foster Dean I dealt with a wide range of legal matters but since 2002 I have concentrated entirely on residential conveyancing. I deal with a wide range of conveyancing matters including sales and purchases of residential houses, flats and retirement apartments. I am also a specialist in transfers of equity. I combine attention to detail with a client focused method of working and I am always mindful of the need to explain complex legal matters to clients in a user friendly and understandable way.

Career highlights:
Advising the client to withdraw from a purchase of a flat after having concerns about the sellers and the pressure under which our client was being put to exchange contracts even though there were matters outstanding in connection with the title. About 6 months after the client withdrew from the purchase I saw an item on the regional television news featuring a group of buyers who had exchanged contracts to buy properties in the development and had paid substantial deposits. The developer had gone into liquidation and the buyers who had exchanged contracts had lost thousands of pounds. It was hugely satisfying to know that I had saved our client from being in the same predicament as those unfortunate buyers.
