As a key corporate partner Forster Dean are excited to announce that Macmillan Cancer Support has been voted the number one charity brand in the UK.
The cancer support charity was ranked top in the annual Third Sector Charity Brand Index, which was launched in 2009 to gauge public awareness of charity brands and is compiled in partnership with the market research company Harris Interactive.
The survey measures the public’s view of impact, trust, and whether the charity is a cause they care about.
Hilary Cross, Director of External Affairs at Macmillan Cancer Support, says:
‘We are immensely proud that Macmillan has topped this year’s PR Week and Third Sector Charity Brand Index because this encompasses everything we do; our services, communications, campaigns and fundraising. We would like to thank the public for voting for us and for their continued support.
‘As the number of people living with cancer is set to double from two to four million by 2030, our vital work is needed more than ever. The Macmillan brand is a driving force in making this a reality.
‘We believe no one should face cancer alone and this year we successfully launched our new, three-year campaign ‘Not Alone’ which is fully integrated behind this idea. The campaign has included nationwide media stories, emotive advertising on TV and outdoors, and has been integrated across much of our fundraising and digital activity. The whole organisation has really come together to highlight how important it is that we inspire millions of people to support us, and to come to us for support.’
Forster Dean, who are hosting the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ in 29 of their offices in September, to help raise awareness of Macmillan are proud to be partnered with them.
By working together, no one will face cancer alone.
