At Forster Dean we can advise on the appropriate action to take, whether via Lasting Powers of Attorney, for Property & Financial issues and/or Health & Welfare. Or when sometimes regrettably it is too late to do so, submit Applications, including Expedited one, to have loved ones appointed as Deputies by order of the Court to then take over the conduct of a loved ones affairs to ensure they get the help and protection they need.

When a gentleman who had sadly lost capacity was facing huge bills for his care and also the prospect of being moved to somewhere his family didn’t want him to go, we were able to identify family members and submit timely Applications to the Court of Protection, for their appointment as his Deputies. At the same time we were then able to then reassure the Home he was in that this would result in the family being able to access his Accounts and ensure payments would be made and continually so, thereby confirming that he stayed where he was.
